White Sulphur Springs-James Malcolm Sams, 85, passed away Monday, Mar. 9, 2020, at his residence following an extended illness.
Jim was born May 1, 1934, in White Sulphur Springs, the son of the late Pearl Sams.
He was a Head Master Caddie at The Greenbrier Hotel and various resort golf courses in Florida.
Preceding him in death other than his parents were his wife, Arbutus “Bootie” Donahue Sams (June 17, 2019); sister, Waline Burdette; and brother, Jesse Sams.
Surviving are his daughters, Debbie Gaughran of White Sulphur Springs and Pam Isaacs (David Allison) of Cocoa, FL; grandchildren, Matt Gaughran and wife Mallorie and Danielle Isaacs; great-grandchildren, Luke and Lily Gaughran; and several nieces and nephews.
It was Jim’s wishes to be cremated, with no services planned at this time.
