Lewisburg-James J. Miller, 88, went home to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 18, 2015.
Born May 29, 1927, at Kilsyth, WV, he was a son of the late James Roosevelt and Dolly Ann Eagle Miller.
Mr. Miller was a member of Graystone Baptist Church, was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved the Lord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Tuckwiller.
He is survived by: his wife, Margaret “Shirley” Bostic Miller; daughters, Deborah O’Brien (Bill) of Lewisburg, Cheryl Pence (Byrl) King, NC, Patricia “Pam” Adwell of Caldwell, Lisa Honaker (Mike) of White Sulphur Springs, Karen Morris (Allan) of Lewisburg, and Jeni Miller and fiance David Faber of White Sulphur Springs; sons, Mike Miller (Linda) of Crestview, FL and Jay Miller (Salena) of Plant City, FL; sister, Mary Jane Richmond of Lewisburg; brother, Bill Miller (Margaret Jane) of Springboro, OH; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, Dec. 20, at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg, where Pastor Youel Artizer officiated.
Visitation was held Saturday evening, Dec. 19, at Graystone Baptist Church in Fairlea.
