Frankford-Jackie Pierson, 78, passed away Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Greenbrier Medical Center in Fairlea.
Jackie was born Apr. 17, 1936, in Crichton, to the late Benjamin Albert and Stella Jane Campbell Pierson.
Jackie was a coal miner and later in life a general contractor. He served with the National Guard. Among his passions were working in his garage, gardening and ramp digging, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jackie also attended the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Frankford.
Besides his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by sisters, Violet Hammond, Exie Seabolt and Betty Johnson Moore and brother, Bill Jones.
Survivors include: his wife, Elizabeth Elaine Trout Pierson; daughters, Shelley Miracle and husband Darrell of Cocoa Beach, FL, DeAnn Hartshorn and husband Dan of Morgantown and Ann Alderman and husband Randy of Madison, WV; sons, Steve Pierson and wife Gaye of Lexington, KY, Johnathan Pierson and wife Kimberly of Lewisburg and Mike Judy and wife Paula of Crestwood, KY; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday, Aug. 11, at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum in ClintonviLe, where Rev.Marshall Cochran and Pastor James “Jim” Dick officiated.
Entombment followed in the mausoleum.
The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
