White Sulphur Springs-Iva Lee Gibson, 81, died Saturday night, Dec. 21, 2013, at Greenbrier Manor after an extended illness.
Born Aug. 26, 1932, at Roxalia, WV, she was a daughter of the late William Harland and Hallie Conway Hoke Wickline.
Mrs. Gibson was of the Methodist faith and was a retired waitress at The Greenbrier.
She loved to crochet and knit. She also loved watching the Andy Griffith shows and the Christian channels on television.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Howard Henry Gibson; son, Bobby Gibson in 2012; sister, Hallie Pauline Braden; brothers, Orville Edward Wickline, Orla Orson, Earl Francis Wickline, Wilbur Lando Wickline and Orvan Leo Wickline.
Survivors include: daughter, Brenda C. Brown (David) of Lewisburg; sister, Denise Crowder of White Sulphur Springs; brother, Ralph Wickline (Joyce) of White Sulphur Springs; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 24, in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home, White Sulphur Springs where Pastor John Groves officiated.
Interment followed in the Wylie Cemetery near Moncove Lake in Monroe County.
Visitation was Tuesday, Dec. 24 at the funeral home before the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made toward her funeral expenses.
