The Mountaineer horseshoe club will conduct NHPA-sanctioned league mixed play on Tuesday nights as Island Park Courts in Ronceverte this summer. This is a handicap type scoring with 50 shoe count all games. Each pitcher will have two scheduled games each week.
Mixed play allows those who pitch 30 and 40 feet to compete against one another as approved by NHPA.
Deadline for signing up for league play is May 30. Anyone interested in pitching should be at the courts any Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. before deadline or call Allen Withrow at 304-667-1374. League play is to start June 6 at 6 p.m.
