The Board of Directors of Hollowell Foundation, Inc. awarded grants totaling $437,983.00 to 57 local organizations in the fiscal year ending June 30.

Recipients of this year’s grant awards are as follows: Town of Alderson, Alderson Main Street, Alderson Snacks in Packs, Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross, Carnegie Hall, Court Appointed Special Advocate of the 11th Judicial Circuit, Child and Youth Advocacy Center, Children’s Home Society, Communities in Schools of Greenbrier County, Davis-Stuart, Eastern Greenbrier Middle School Athletic Boosters, Family Refuge Center, Family Resource Network, Gateway Industries, Greenbrier County Board of Education, Greenbrier County Committee on Aging, Greenbrier County Energy Express, Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, Greenbrier County Youth Camp, Greenbrier East High School, Greenbrier Valley Restoration Project, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, HN Second Chance Cat Rescue, High Rocks Educational Corporation, Joyful Noise After School Program, Lewisburg/Fairlea Food Locker, Lewisburg Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation, Monroe Arts Alliance, New River Community & Technical College, Northern Greenbrier Latchkey Kids, Oakhurst Outreach, Pack a Snack, Quinwood Community Food Service, Rainelle Medical Center, Read Aloud West Virginia, Renick Community Center, Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley, Southern Elite Gymnastics and Cheer Boosters, Trillium Performing Arts, The Tutoring Center, Union Missions Ministries, Wellspring of Greenbrier, Williamsburg Community Action, the following Fire Departments: Fairlea, Frankford, Lewisburg, Ronceverte, Rupert, Tri-County and the following Public Libraries: Alderson, Greenbrier County, Rainelle, Ronceverte, Rupert and White Sulphur Springs.

If you would like to apply for a grant from the Hollowell Foundation, please request an application form by writing to the Foundation at 103 East Washington Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901. When returning your completed grant application form, please include a copy of your Internal Revenue Service tax exemption letter; your budget for at least the two most recent years and your income statement and balance sheet for the current year. Applications must be received by Apr. 1, 2016 to be considered at the June, 2016 Board meeting.
Awards are made in memory of Otto and Margaret Ford Hollowell and as a tribute to their philanthropic efforts throughout the Greenbrier Valley. It is the primary mission of the Foundation to promote and enhance the quality of life of the citizens of the Greenbrier Valley by supporting projects that sustain and advance educational, scientific, literary, recreational and cultural endeavors.
