Holiday Fun during First Friday after 5 in Downtown Lewisburg

Historic Downtown Lewisburg celebrates the Holidays during First Fridays after Five! This First Fridays after Five takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6 and as always is free to the public. Everyone is welcome!
Feast your eyes on Lewisburg’s Festive Holiday Decorations, while enjoying a Free Horse Drawn Carriage Ride, from 5 to 8 p.m., down main street, compliments of the shops and restaurants of downtown Lewisburg. Catch your free ride at the intersection of Jefferson and Washington Street, near City National Bank.
Get into the Holiday Spirit by joining the United Way and the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center for the 4th Annual Holiday by Design. Enjoy live music by Dena and Gary Williams. Wreaths, trees and home decor, decorated by local businesses, organizations and individuals are on display. Place a bid through a silent auction on your favorite holiday decoration and you just might get to take it home with you! You can also vote for your favorite item with a $1 donation and be registered to win prizes. (200 West Washington Street, 304-645-1000)
Harmony Ridge Gallery invites you out for a night of great live blues and rock & roll by The Jarmovers. The Jarmovers play a blues and soul-based collection of new and old songs including band originals and interpretations of rarely-heard favorites. (209 West Washington Street, 645-4333)
Stop in at Yarid’s and take a Brighton Handbag Survey and enter for a chance to WIN a Brighton Handbag of your choice from the shop’s existing stock. (202 W. Washington Street, 647-5000)

Join the Fiber Arts Network for demonstrations of Weaving, Spinning and other Fiber Arts at the Lewisburg City Hall Lobby starting at 4 p.m. (942 W. Washington Street, 645-2080)
Enjoy a blend of folk, ballads and old country favorites by “Pushin’ String” at The General Lewis Inn, 5 to 7 p.m. Ron Kirk performs on guitar and vocals and Tim McNair on bass. (301 E. Washington Street, 645-2600)

At the The Irish Pub, Patrick O’Flaherty, Celtic musician extraordinaire, will sing and play from 5 to 11 p.m. (109 East Washington Street, 645-7386)
First Fridays after 5 takes place all year long in downtown Lewisburg with shops, galleries and restaurants in downtown Lewisburg open until 9 p.m. serving complimentary refreshments and entertainment, sponsored by City National Bank.
