The Greenbrier Historical Society is holding a volunteer recruitment and reception on Friday, Apr. 14, from 5-7 p.m. at the North House Museum.
They will have hands-on training for potential and current volunteers. Interested parties are invited to attend and learn more about becoming a volunteer at the Greenbrier Historical Society. Refreshments will be provided.
Volunteers are needed for archives, museum tours, front desk and collections management.
The Greenbrier Historical Society is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to collect, preserve, protect and exhibit historical materials and objects, provide educational programs and activities and support historical inquiry and research. GHS relies on the generosity of its members, patrons and the community to continue operating the museum free of charge, providing free research assistance and offering free educational programs. GHS strives to present the rich history of the Greenbrier Valley in interesting ways, to promote tourism in the region and to support the preservation of its beautiful communities.
