Captain David S. Hinkley was recently recognized for his retirement from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Bruce Sloan presented Captain Hinkley with his shadow box commemorating his over 26 years of service. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented the department from hosting the traditional luncheon in his honor.
Sheriff Sloan stated, “We appreciate the many years of dedicated service that Dave has given to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Greenbrier County. He was a faithful and dependable member and he will certainly be missed. He possessed an abundance of knowledge and experience that cannot easily be replaced. We wish the very best for Dave and his family in the years ahead as he pursues those activities that bring him enjoyment.”
