Lewisburg – Helen Louise Bittinger, 65, passed away Thursday, Apr. 26, 2018, at her home surrounded by family.
Born July 5, 1952, at Second Creek, she was a daughter of the late Price Madison and Lena Valentine Davis Huffman.
She was a retired hostess and delivery lady from Food & Friends Restaurant in Lewisburg after 16 years of service.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Bittinger, Sr. in 1975; sister, Linda Mines; and brother, Fletcher Huffman.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Marsha Nickolay of Covington, VA; sons, Greg Huffman (Angie) of Lewisburg and Marshall Bittinger of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Justin Huffman, Jason Huffman, Tamara Crookshanks, Brooklyn Clutter, Katelin Nickolay, Layton Boone, and Lexie Bittinger; great-grandchildren, Laci Huffman, Wyatt Huffman, Daisy Clutter, Adrian Crookshanks, Eli Crookshanks and Zach Crookshanks; two sisters, Mary Hardiman (Marvin) of Harts Run and Myrtle Mandeville (Steve) of Lynchburg, VA; and two brothers, Charles Huffman (Ruth) of Lewisburg and Edgar Huffman (Bonita) of Covington, VA.
The family received friends Monday evening, Apr. 30, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs. A memorial service was held that evening with friends and family officiating.
Private interment of her ashes will be held at a later date.
