In partnership with the Greenbrier River Fly Fishing Classic, a nonprofit organization, Harvest Fest will also feature a free children’s fishing derby at the Hawk Knob Pond.

The day’s schedule includes:

  • 12 noon Gates open, apple butter stirring and cider pressing begin.
  • 1 p.m. Food buffet opens and kids’ fishing derby begins.
  • 2 p.m. Live music with Paul E. Johnson.
  • 3 p.m. Pumpkin decorating.
  • 4 p.m. Headline music performance by Tessa McCoy and the Big Possum String Band.

Additional activities will include a bounce house for children, cornhole, pumpkin ring toss and giant tic-tac-toe.

The Hawk Knob Kitchen will provide a variety of food options, including a soup buffet, pulled pork with fixings and additional offerings.
