At the Exxon station in Harts Run, Jarret McCormick from Mount Airy, NC, puts finishing touches on a welding job. The tall Exxon sign, visible from the interstate, was damaged by strong winds on Sunday, Jan. 10. Bent slightly in the middle, it was taken down using two tall cranes on Wednesday, Jan 13.
