White Sulphur Springs-Hank C. Vaughan, 38, of White Sulphur Springs passed away suddenly on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 at his residence.

Hank was born Mar. 14, 1984, in Low Moor, VA, to Tamra Young Vaughan Humphreys and the late Ronald Wayne Vaughan.

Hank loved his children with all his heart. They were his pride and joy, wanting to be with them every second he could. Hank enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping on the river. He had a servant’s heart and truly enjoyed helping others. He was also quite the jokester, making people laugh with his funny sense of humor.

Hank was the maintenance director for Seasons Place, where he loved being able to care and assist the residents and their families. He was also a member of Rhema Christian Center.

Other than his father he was preceded in death by his sister, Syna Jean Vaughan; maternal grandparents, Ira and Doris Young and paternal grandparents, Donald and Gwendolyn Vaughan.

Surviving Hank are his children, Lilly Caiten Vaughan, Asher Wayne Vaughan and River Jean Vaughan; mother, Tamra Vaughan Humphreys and her husband Larry “Schultz” Humphreys; brother, Chavis Vaughan and his children, Garrett, Ty and Isabell; brother, Myron (Jennifer) and their children Hunter, Rylan and Trac; son of his late sister, Syna Vaughan, Charles Echo Carpenter; sister, Ari Vaughan (Dave Barron) and their son Vaughan Bodhi Barron; brother, and best friend since birth Barack Vaughan; step-sister, Meta Linkenhoker and her daughter Cheyenne Lowe; Special “Sis,” Stella Chau; the mother of his children, Amy Yates; special family friends, the Farleys and best school buddy, Patrick McClintic; as well as a host of extended family.

The family will be receiving family and friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, at Rhema Christian Center. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Stewart Farley and Pastor Bobby McClintic officiating.

Interment service will follow in the Mapledale Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs.

Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs is in charge of arrangements.
