Mrs. Naomi Hamilton was honored with a surprise Birthday Party to celebrate her 101st Birthday. The luncheon was given by her duplicate bridge group at Food & Friends. She plays bridge several times a week, and is still an excellent player. She wins as many times as she loses. Hamilton was born in West Union, WV, married her husband, and moved to Lewisburg when he was offered a job with Morlunda. Mr. Hamilton was the announcer of the races at the West Virginia State Fair Grounds and sold cattle all over the country. Naomi was an excellent golfer and played with some of the finest. She still drives her own car, and has been driving since she was 13 years of age. She walks in the mornings with friends at the mall. Her favorite place to vacation is Florida. When asked if she had any advice for young people, she said “go to college and get a good education.” When asked if she had any secrets to share, she said they would remain secret! Congratulations to a lovely, smart, and funny lady on her 101st!
