Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company (GVBC) will be hosting a fundraiser for flood victims on Sunday, Nov. 10. “Greenbrier Gives Back” will raise funds directly for the Craigtown community that was devastated by the recent mudslides from Hurricane Helen in Fairview, NC. Thirteen lives were lost in this small tight-knit community alone, with 11 being from one family.
Live music will be provided by Chandler Beavers and Friends with two sets of bluegrass/jamgrass from 2 to 4 p.m., and Jonah Garden from 5 to 7 p.m.
Food trucks on site include Mister Crabs, Kitchen 304, and Hawk Knob’s pop-up kitchen. Smooth Amblers’ Whisky Wagon will also be on site.
There will be various points for cash donations and QR codes that will go directly to the family. The musicians involved in the event were kind enough to donate their time for a worthy cause. Brad and Chad Wright along with other members of the family affected are lifelong friends of GVBC Production Manager Jeff Frizsell, so this cause hits home for the GVBC family.
During the event $1 of every Apple-Atcha Honey’d Apple Ale sale will also go directly to the family.
