Members of the Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center Sea Dragons swim team kicked off the short course competition season at the Rockbridge Storm Halloween Sprint meet in Lexington, VA, on Oct. 27. There were seven first-time swims and19 personal best times.
The most improved swimmer was Albert Liu, who dropped over 50 seconds in his events. New team records were set in their competition categories by Dolly Knight (50Y Free, 25Y Back, 25Y Breast), Harper Bostic (50Y Back), Ben Kelso (100Y Free, 50Y Breast), Avery Hodges-McGuffin (100Y Fly), Natalee Sibold (50Y and 100Y Free, 50Y Breast), and Cooper Homer (100Y Free, 50 Breast).
The Sea Dragons will host a Block Party meet at GVAC on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. Community members are welcome to attend.
