Faculty in Glenville State College’s Land Resources Department and staff in the Office of Admissions invite prospective students to attend an event to learn more about Natural Resource Management programs offered at GSC. The Natural Resource Exploration Day will take place Saturday, Apr. 16, beginning at 2 p.m. at 6455 Huntersville Road in Marlinton (approximately 1/8 mile east of Huntersville on SR 39).
The Open House event will feature activities for interested students to learn about wood identification, geocaching, wildlife trapping, soil and water analysis, fun with land fundamentals, and more. There will be a BBQ cookout starting at 4 p.m.
“The faculty and staff of Land Resources Department are excited to meet prospective students from Pocahontas County. We have lined up exciting and fun activities for them to have a feel of what would it be like to take some of these courses in the department,” said Department Chair and Associate Professor of Forestry Dr. Rico Gazal.
