Everyone is welcome to attend the nature walk on Saturday, July 19, at 9 a.m.

The Greenbrier River Watershed Association is sponsoring a guided nature walk on Saturday, July 19, starting at 9 a.m. at Caldwell on the Greenbrier River Trail. Park at the second larger parking area at the Trail at Caldwell and we will walk north to the big rocks. Come a little early for coffee and muffins! Great for both adults and kids alike! Bring binoculars, water shoes, a towel.

This nature walk will be led by Adrianne Thackery, an Appalachian Forest National Heritage Area AmeriCorps member serving with Monongahela National Forest’s Watershed team in Marlinton. Since completing their bachelor’s in environmental studies, Adrianne has also served with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Georgia and a county soil and water conservation district in New York. As a naturalist, Adrianne is always looking for opportunities to learn more about nature and participate in citizen science.

Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for inclement weather cancellation or delay, facebook.com/greenbrier.watershed or call 970-389-5451. No need to sign up – please come!

The walk will go north on the Trail to the big rocks.
