Big adventures for a tiny mouse are coming to the stage at Greenbrier Valley Theatre. GVT is excited for the upcoming Smucker’s PB&J Café production of Stuart Little, July 7- July 10 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors, and $8 for children/students. Child tickets include a meal. For tickets or more information, call the GVT Box Office at 304-645-3838 or visit gvtheatre.org.
The many adventures of Stuart Little are brought vividly to life in this adaptation of E.B. White’s beloved children’s book. Stuart is a mild-mannered mouse trying to survive in a “real people’s world.” Stuart sets out searching for his best friend Margalo, along the way racing boats and facing bullies.
“I love Stuart Little because he is a symbol of youth, energy and optimism,” said Tim Woda, GVT actor/ tech intern. “Stuart shows audiences that when you pursue your dreams, the journeys and experiences are just as important as the goal itself.”
Woda, who currently attends Marshall University, will portray the endearing mouse, Stuart.
Smucker’s PB&J Café gives young children the chance to experience dinner theatre in a casual fashion. With kid-sized tables and chairs, they take in a performance of a well-loved story, enjoying their choice of a classic PB&J sandwich or hot dog dinner. Food served will contain peanuts.
The PB&J Café production is performed by a cast composed of GVT’s summer interns and apprentices, which enriches their experience here at GVT. This summer GVT looks forward to welcoming young people back to the theatre to share the tale of this brave mouse, Stuart Little.
“Our PB&J café is a wonderful opportunity to introduce children to live theatre,” said Courtney Susman, education director. “It’s also as fun for the parents as it is for the kids.”
