Continuing education, professional networking and team member growth were on the agenda at the annual Heartnet of the Virginia’s meeting. The conference was held in Roanoke VA and attended by over 250 health care professionals.
Members of the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center Emergency Department attended the conference to sharpen their skills and learn about new and innovative ideas in the field of cardiology.
Speakers from Carillion Roanoke Memorial and Virginia Tech Carillion School of Medicine spoke to the crowd. Topics included: up to date care of Acute Myocardial Infarction, Cardiovascular Manifestations of Sleep Apnea, Cardiac Pacemaker lead extraction, extractions versus retention, Optimizing drug therapy in Acute Coronary syndrome, Cardio-renal syndromes, Congenital heart disease in the adult and genetic heart syndromes.
