Greenbrier County Schools invites new enrollees and prospective students to participate in a special County-Wide School Enrollment and Open House Day on Saturday, May 17. With all schools open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 17th, Greenbrier County Schools offers families an opportunity to explore our schools, meet educators, and complete enrollment for the 2025–2026 school year.

Date: Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Locations: All Greenbrier County public elementary, middle, and high schools

Who should attend:

  • Families enrolling children in Pre-K, Kindergarten, or transferring into Greenbrier County Schools
  • Students entering new school levels (e.g., 6th or 9th grade)
  • Families considering transferring from their district school to a different district school in the district
  • Families interested in touring their local school(s) or learning more about educational offerings

Attendees will have the opportunity to tour classrooms and school facilities, meet school staff, receive enrollment assistance, and learn about academic programs, extracurriculars, transportation, and school meals

“We’re thrilled to open our doors to help families feel welcomed and informed as they prepare for the upcoming school year,” said Jeff Bryant, Superintendent of Greenbrier County Schools. “This event allows us to connect with families, showcase our public schools, and build strong school-family partnerships from day one.”

“Schools will still host traditional back-to-school open house activities for enrolled students when they return for the 2025-26 school year. Our event on May 17 is an additional opportunity for those new to our school system or interested in learning more about us,” continued Bryant.

Families are encouraged to bring any necessary documents for enrollment, including proof of residency, immunization records, and the child’s birth certificate. For additional enrollment information, please visit www.greenbriercountyschools.org or call Nancy Hanna at 304-647-6470.
