Greenbrier County Schools announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program. Meals are open to all children, age 18 years and under, who would like to participate. Meals will be served every Monday through Friday beginning June 17 until July 26 at Alderson Elementary, Frankford Elementary, Rainelle Elementary, and White Sulphur Elementary. Breakfast will be served from 8- 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. – 12 noon.
All sites are closed for Juneteenth (June 19), WV Day on June 20 and on July 4 in observance of Independence Day.
Ronceverte Elementary will serve lunch Monday-Thursday, from 11:30 a.m. – 12 noon beginning June 24 until July 25, Monday-Thursday.
Alderson Farmers Market will serve lunch from 3-5 p.m. on June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16, and July 23.
Carnegie Kids College will have a serve meals July 8-12 and July 15-19 at 11:10- 11:30 a.m. and 2:20-2:40 p.m., Monday-Friday. (snack program)
The Greenbrier State Forest will serve meals July 8-11 from 9:30-11 a.m. and 2-3 p.m., Monday-Thursday. (snack program)
A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and remain active during the summer months. Remember, hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation!
