The Greenbrier County Board of Education has approved the 2016-17 school calendar, which puts students back at their desks on Aug. 22. The last day for school, “barring no other cancellations,” is set for June 7, 2017.
Teachers will report to work on Aug. 8 and 9 for continuing education, and August 10 will be a preparation day for teachers.
Students and teachers will have a full week off for Christmas and Thanksgiving, and a week has been scheduled for Spring Break.
If there are no snow days next year, students could be out of school by May 30, 2017.
