The Greenbrier Artists Annual Art Show and Sale in the Old Stone Room at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg opens with a reception on Friday, May 6.
This year’s theme is “Art Visions.” The show will feature recent works of artists who work in watercolors, pastels, oils, acrylics, fabric, and mixed media. Most of the works are for sale, and proceeds support both Carnegie and the individual artists.
Greenbrier Artists is a nonprofit group dedicated to the education and promotion of art. They currently have more than 90 members, and the group meets every week at Carnegie from September through May for painting, special demos, and critiques. A special summer “painting only” session begins in June, and is open to new members.
Come and meet the artists on First Friday in the Old Stone Room from 5-7 p.m. for refreshments and a variety of colorful art. The show will be open through June 25. The artists also have ongoing exhibits at Greenbrier Physicians in Fairlea and rotating art exhibits in Lewisburg and Rainelle libraries.
