Rocky Mount, VA-Gordon LeRoy Hull, 77, formerly of Neola, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Salem VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.
Born at Alvon June 12, 1937, he was a son of the late Wyatt Dosan and Virginia Glee Thomas Hull.
Gordon was a US Air Force Veteran and was of the Protestant faith. He was a retired self-employed machinist. He liked to tinker around with old machinery.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Spencer Hull, Marshall Dale Hull (infant) and Billy Con Hull; and sisters, Oma Gail Hull, Mary Sharon Alcorn, Rometa G. Blankenship and Dorothy Jean Bunch.
Survivors include sisters, Faye Van Buren and Bonnie Rider both of Neola and Cindy Sabota of Marlinton; two brothers, Bobby D. Hull of Erie, PA and Roger Trainer of Neola. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service was conducted Thursday, July 3, in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home where Rev. Lowell O’Dell officiated.
Burial was in May Chapel United Methodist Cemetery, Neola.
Visitation was one hour prior to the service at the funeral home
