Ronceverte-Geraldine Edith Allen, 89, passed away on Wednesday May 11, 2016, at her home with her family by her side.
Geraldine was born May 26, 1926, in Ronceverte and was the sixth child of the union of the late Clarence and Hazel Pack Allen, Sr.
She was of the Christian faith, had attended Bolling High School Lewisburg, WV state College and Brynmawr College. Geraldine had worked at Stone and Thomas Department Store and retired from Peebles Retail Store.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille Neil, Rosalie Washington and Barbara Allen; brothers, Clarence “Bussie” Allen, Jr. and Henry C. Allen.
Geraldine is survived by her dog “Chubby;” sisters, Hazel Brown, Marion Jordan and Betty Sears; sister-in-law, Edna M. Allen; as well as three generations of nieces and nephews.
As per Geraldine’s request, she will be cremated with a memorial service to be held this summer (2016).
