Lewisburg-Georgia Lee Vest Clemens, 69, passed away at White Sulphur Springs Center on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015.
Georgia was born Nov. 20, 1945, at Clifton Forge, VA, a daughter of the late Cody B. and Clarice Hedrick Vest.
She was a member of Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, graduated from Shepherd College, now Shepherd University, and was a retired teacher from Loudoun County High School.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lorenzo Clemens, Jan. 17, 2015.
Surviving are: her children, Christina Smith and husband Jeff and their children, Rebekah Gregory, Holley Smith and Cody Smith all of Winchester, VA; son, Allen Clemens and wife Carolyn and their sons, Seth and Justin Clemens of Winchester, VA; three great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Alice Yates and husband Richard of Tennessee; brother, Eugene Vest and wife Nan of Lewisburg; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Mallery and husband Glenn and Kay Connor, all of Radford, VA, and Hattie Riley of Manassas, VA; and brother-in-law, John Clemens and wife Ginny of Round Hill, VA.
Services for Georgia were held on Monday, Oct. 19, at Edgewood Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg, where Rev. Larryetta Ellis officiated. Interment followed in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
The family received friends Monday, Oct. 19, at the church before the service.
