Lewisburg-George W. “Pete” Kishpaugh, 69, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Greenbrier Manor after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Siler, KY, on Jan. 26, 1944, he was the son of the late Albert and Nannie Kishpaugh.
Pete recently retired from Fisher Auto Parts after 17 years of service. He was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed driving the church van to pick up and deliver children to church services. In Pete’s spare time he enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Lonnie.
Pete is survived by: his wife, Lovey of 51 years; daughter, Judy (Satch) Whitt of Frankford; son, Jeff of King, NC; grandsons, Dustin Whitt of Morgantown and Ryan and Jared Whitt of Frankford; stepmother, Marjorie Kishpaugh of Middlesboro, KY; brothers, Carl (Judy), Ken (Elizabeth), Harold (Rosetta), all of Frankes, KY and Danny (Keri) of Clairfield, TN; sisters, Juanita (Dennie) Wilson of Oregon, OH; Janetta (Curt) Gibson of Pineville, KY, Rosetta (Willard) of Pineville, KY and Cathy (Butch) Loveday of Clairfield, TN.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Sept. 18 at Lewisburg Baptist Church where Pastor Jonathan Comer officiated.
Burial was in Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg.
Friends called Tuesday evening, Sept. 17 at the church.
Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Lewisburg was in charge of arrangements.
