This week, U.S. Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) announced that a total of $3,333,436 in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) has been awarded to 10 West Virginia health centers.
“I am pleased this funding is heading to small health centers across West Virginia,” Manchin said. “All West Virginians deserve access to primary and preventative care, and this funding will continue to allow these health centers to provide affordable health services that so many West Virginians rely on.”
“Community health centers offer vital resources to many West Virginians. This funding will help expand access to treatment, including important preventative and primary care services, and enable more West Virginians to take control of their health and well-being,” said Capito.
Monroe County Health Center was awarded $184,496.
