The White Sulphur Springs Library is pleased to announce that Allan Sizemore, who performs professionally under the name BlacKingCoal, will bring his mix of blues, soul, and folk guitar stylings to the library on Thursday, Oct. 26 beginning at 6 p.m.
Light refreshments will follow this free program.
Sizemore has been a professional musician for over 30 years. During this time he has played every small dive bar and almost every major festival in the United States and still has a hunger for performing and writing songs. He has had top 10 albums and songs overseas, as well as having his groups “Rust Kings” and “The Wild Rumpus” named in various Top 20 lists of performers in America in the past. His songs have been named the NPR Song of the Week on “All Songs Considered” twice, and he penned most of the music for the TV show “Barnwood Builders” for the first season. Now residing in beautiful White Sulphur Springs and still traveling the country as the blues/soul act BlacKingCoal, he is going strong with new releases and upcoming projects. We hope you enjoy an evening of toe tapping good time and engaging storytelling.
The library is located at 344 Main Street W in White Sulphur Springs. Please call 304-536-1171 if you have any questions.
