The Family Refuge Center (FRC) has been announced as the 2018 winner of the Frank Brown Community Partnership. This is an annual contest from Bricks Without Straws, an internet marketing firm based in Charleston.
The prize for this highly sought-after contest is free digital marketing services, which includes a redesigned website and social media marketing.
This is the 5th year of Frank Brown Community Partnership from Bricks Without Straws. West Virginia charities are encouraged to apply each December.
“We understand the need for digital marketing and an interactive website, but those things have always been pushed down the list of importance with the work that Family Refuge Center does day in and day out,” said Kenosha Davenport, Family Refuge Center executive director. With a new, redesigned website happening, Davenport adds, “This is such a win for, not only Family Refuge Center, but the people we serve. They will be able to connect with us in a way that wasn’t possible before. We are beyond excited for this new partnership with Bricks Without Straws and so thankful to the Frank Brown Charitable Foundation for making this happen.”
The Family Refuge Center provides shelter and supportive services for victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, stalking and elder abuse in Greenbrier, Mercer, Monroe and Pocahontas Counties. There is never a cost for shelter or services provided.
