McGaheysville, VA-Frances Louise Morgan, a loving mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord Friday morning, Mar. 4, 2016, at Sentra RMA Medical Center in Harrisonburg, VA.
Mrs. Morgan was a homemaker and was a very talented artisan. She loved sewing, crocheting, floral arranging and collecting antiques. Frances loved going to flea markets with her children, feeding her birds and morning coffee with her sons, One of her last shared thoughts was of how close to God she felt while walking on the beach.
She was born Dec. 25, 1926, in Greenbrier County, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Lilly Bell Martin Masters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Corbie Jackson Morgan in 1989; daughter, Dreama Glazzard; and six brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: daughters, Norma Dalton Lynch of Second Creek and Jackie Cochran and husband Carl of Neola; sons, Mike Morgan and wife Vicki and Jake Morgan and wife Diane all of McGaheysville, VA; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandcluldren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Ellen Masters of Caldwell; and brother, Robert Masters of Frankford.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Mar. 7, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Ronceverte where Pastor Danny Morgan officiated. Burial was in Morgan Cemetery.
Visitation was held Sunday evening, Mar. 6, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte.
