He moved to West Virginia in ’74 and found home and a climate of respect for hand-made craft with a willingness to support it. All his leathers are cow hide and hand stitched. In the Gallery, local artist Margaret Golden presents her show titled “My Home Among the Hills”, a collection of watercolor, acrylic, and digital paintings highlighted by the addition of two felt pieces created by her daughter, Sara. Hailing from Pocahontas County, Peggy Owens’ colorful show will be displayed in the Art Alcove. Peggy’s exhibit features glass mosaics, acrylics, fused glass pieces, photography, and mixed media. You won’t want to miss this eclectic show titled “ADHD Meets AARP”! She has two rules: “1) Never again follow rules and 2) Don’t do anything that’s not fun!” Music throughout the evening will be performed by G.R.O.U.P., a local ukulele band.
