On Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 7:10 a.m., the Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department was toned for a structure fire on Seneca Trail South reported by a passerby. According to a release by the Ronceverte VFD, “Engine 4001 was enroute within five minutes, followed by Tanker 4004 and Engine 4003. It was unsure if structure was occupied and Engine 4001 requested manpower and tankers from Fairlea Volunteer Fire Department, Lewisburg Fire Department, and the Union Volunteer Fire Department. Once units arrived the structure was found to be unoccupied. An interior attack was done and had the bulk of fire knocked out quickly. Units remained on scene for three hours doing overhaul and extinguishing all hotspots. No injuries were reported. Thanks to Fairlea VFD, Lewisburg FD, Union VFD, Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance 617, and Greenbrier County 911 Center for their assistance on this incident.”
