Due to the State of Emergency announced by Gov. Jim Justice and to help slow the spread of COVID-19, the following procedures are in place through Tuesday, Mar. 31 for the West Virginia State Fairgrounds.
All events at the State Fair of West Virginia are cancelled until Mar. 31, 2020. Unfortunately, this means that the WV Craft Brew Festival and weekly flea markets (both indoor and outdoor) will be postponed indefinitely.
Additionally, the State Fair of West Virginia Administration Building will be closed to the public until Apr. 1. State Fair staff will continue regular business hours and will be available via email and telephone at 304-645-1090, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The State Fair of West Virginia is working daily with local, state, and national leadership to monitor the situation and will provide updates as needed. As regards the 2020 State Fair of West Virginia – at this point, management is moving forward with plans for the 96th annual State Fair of West Virginia on Aug. 13-22, 2020.
The 70th annual 4-H and FFA Ham, Bacon, and Egg Show and Sale that was scheduled for this Friday, Mar. 20 is now set for an online auction.
The online auction will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Mar. 23, and close on Thursday, Mar. 26, at 6 p.m. You can find the auction online at www.cowbuyer.com.
To view products and bid in the auction, become a member at cowbuyerlive.com and register for the auction titled “Greenbrier Valley Ham Bacon and Egg Sale.” Remember, the bidding will end at 6 p.m. on Thursday evening. Product pickup is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 27, at the Greenbrier East Meats building. Drive up payment and pickup will be the order of the day for your health and convenience.
