Dear Editor:
Open letter to people running the Fairgrounds:
The Fairgrounds used to be a welcoming place.
Going south on 219 to the main entrance, one saw on the left a bustle of cars and people. Now one sees nothing. No entrance, just an Exit sign and then nothing. Not even a sign. I had to drive all the way around the Fairgrounds and enter on 219 north.
Is this the way to welcome tourists and the many local people who used to flock there for the Fair?
How about a big sign at Fair Street (or even before that) saying WELCOME! ENTER HERE! How about signs telling what the current attractions are, why one should enter rather than drive on?
