Evidene Faye Dale Bostic, 88, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Feb. 19, 2025, at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg with her loving family by her side and her husband holding her hand.
She was born Feb. 7, 1937, in Anthony, the daughter of the late William Preston and Ethel Edna Honaker Dale.
Evidene was a member of Enon Baptist Church. Her working career was at Kellwood, social worker with WV Dept. of Health and Human Resources and as a supervisor with the housekeeping dept. at The Greenbrier Hotel. Evidene and Ron had the love for fishing and hunting together.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her sons John Riffle and Yukon Knight; a granddaughter; sisters Ruth Agnes Clemons, Thelma Ellen Hughes, and Ruby Eunice Clemons; and brothers Orval Rupert Dale, Ovid Roland Dale, Charles Eugene Dale, William Billy Dale and Owen Lee Dale.
Those left to cherish her laughter and humor are her husband of 36 years Ronald H. Bostic; daughters, Patricia Celia of White Sulphur Springs and Teresa Fields (Tom) of Frankford; stepson, Ronnie Bostic (Pam) of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren seven great-grandchildren; special niece June Altizer and several other nieces and nephews too numerous to name individually.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with Pastor Steve Barnett and Pastor Greg Scott officiating, with interment to follow at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive family and friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
