The West Virginia Division of Energy has awarded the cities of Lewisburg and Ronceverte funds to provide free energy audits for homes and businesses. These audits are intended to assist property owners in identifying problem areas with structures and address how to make their business or home more energy efficient and cost effective. The cities have chosen Energy Efficiency Technology, LLC of Morgantown to perform these audits.
An educational component of the grant will make available town meetings to discuss the various components of how the audit program works, discuss energy efficient technology, and cost effective ways to make your buildings more efficient. There will be a series of free lectures to inform the public of changes in technologies and how they may benefit from being involved in the program.
Energy Efficiency Technology, LLC will hold a town meeting to discuss the audit program in on Feb. 4 at Lewisburg City Hall at 5 p.m. and on Feb. 5 at Ronceverte City Hall at 5 p.m. to discuss the audit process for interested businesses and residents.
