Fairlea-Edgar Lee Persinger, 78, passed away Saturday, Mar. 25, 2020, at Greenbrier Health Care Center after a long illness.
Born on Apr. 20, 1941, in Union, he was the son of the late James Alfred Persinger and Elsie Reynolds Persinger.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia (Jenny) Woodson; and three brothers, James Persinger, Bernie Persinger, and Donald Persinger.
He leaves behind two sisters, Shirley Roadcap (Bob) of Singers Glen, VA, and Betty Wright of Lewisburg; daughter, Usa Fowler; several grandchildren, nieces, cousins, aunts, and uncles; his companion, Dorothy Loudermilk and her daughter, Connie Loudermilk.
Lee loved animals, painting pictures, and watching westerns. Anyone who knew him loved him. He will be dearly missed.
He will be cremated per his request and buried at a later date.
McCraw Funeral Home in Lewisburg is in charge of his arrangements.
