Have you ever wondered how Ecuador celebrates Christmas? Or wanted to taste a honey cookie from South Korea, or shortbread from England? Faith Community Homeschool co-op invites you to experience Christmas and cultures from around the world On Dec. 8 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Rhema Life Center gymnasium. Students and their families plan to have over 15 countries represented at the event, including France, Germany, Ireland, Sweden, Brazil, and many more. This immersive event was thoughtfully planned to be both educational and affordable for the whole family, not to mention delicious! It will certainly get you in a festive mood as the holiday season ensues.
Traditional cookies from each culture will be for sale. Tickets are $1 each and can be purchased on-site. Cookies can be purchased separately for one ticket each, or a box of one dozen can be purchased for twelve tickets (or two boxes for 20). There is no cost for entrance.
There will be decorative scenes from each country represented and a few other culinary items to taste, and photo opportunities in “Paris” and a cozy scene from an Ecuadorian Christmas room. Meander and explore the cultural aspects of Christmas from around the world, relax in a cozy lounge area with Swedish Fika (coffee and cakes) or enjoy proper English tea.
Faith Community Co-op (FCC) provides enrichment opportunities for homeschooled students from Pre-K through High School.
