Early voting for the May 14 Primary Election continues this week in Greenbrier County with two early voting locations open to serve the public. In Lewisburg, the Romano Law Office at 860 Court Street N. (across from the Lewis Theatre) is one site, and in Rupert, the Rupert Community Center is another.
Candidates that voters will see on their ballot will vary depending on their registered political party. However, nonpartisan races will appear on every ballot and will be decided during the May primary, not in the November general election.
This means that county-level positions including Board of Education members and the Conservation District Supervisor will be determined by the primary election, along with judicial candidates including the WV Supreme Court of Appeals, the WV Intermediate Court of Appeals, circuit court judges, family court judges, and magistrate judges.
See inside this edition of the Mountain Messenger for a personal biography from local candidates in their own words.
Early voting runs now through May 11, on the following dates and times at the Lewisburg location:
- Saturday, May 4: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 10: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday, May 11: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 10: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
