A one-night free Photography Open House, for anyone interested in learning about a series of photography courses being offered this fall by the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College non-credit program, will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 6-9 p.m. in Room 908 at the DSLCC Rockbridge Regional Center in Buena Vista, VA.
The presenter is professional photographer Chuck Almarez, who owns and operates Fire and Light Gallery in Clifton Forge, VA, and will be teaching all of the fall photography courses for DSLCC.
The presentation will introduce the topics that will be covered and the skills to be developed in depth during the full photography series, including composition, basic digital camera operation, and the use of Photoshop Lightroom editing software to import, organize and process photographic images. No textbook is required.
Following the open house, the first course will be Beginning Digital Photography, a four-week course scheduled to begin Sept. 13.
