On Friday, July 10, Lewisburg resident Violet G. Aldridge had her 97th birthday. Members of the community came together to surprise her with two “drive-by’s” to wish her a happy birthday, since COVID-19 prohibited any parties or other events.
Her family and friends have been helping her stay away from crowds and other people throughout the pandemic, so the drive-by birthday wishes were quite unexpected. Her family says she is a “very hugging, touching, social type of person,” and they wanted to do something special for her.
Happy 97th birthday, Violet!
