Frankford-In the late hours of Thursday, Jan. 23, 2020, Dr. Michael Andrew Brumfield went to be with the Lord at the age of 74.
Michael was born to Millard Otis and Melita Alice Snair Brumfield on Oct. 11, 1945, at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, in Huntington.
He received his bachelor’s degree from Marshall University in 1970 and went on to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1973. That same year, Michael moved to Greenbrier County and established his Chiropractic practice, where he served the community for 47 years.
Michael is survived by his wife, Jane Fleshman Brumfield; three children, two stepchildren, and 13 grandchildren. His surviving children include son, Christopher Brian Brumfield and wife Chelsie Brumfield and children Aiden, Oliver, and Grayson; son, Jonathan Andrew Brumfield and wife Susan Brumfield and children Lauren, Christian, Albert, Jackson, and Nicholas; daughter, Amy Elizabeth Dick and husband James Dick and children Asa, Elijah, Jonas, and Ezra; stepson, Michael Houston Bennett and wife Cassy Bennett and son Nicholas “Cole”; and stepdaughter, Stephanie Cristina Fleshman.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother, Dr. James Otis Brumfield, and son, Christian Andrew Brumfield.
A celebration of life for Mr. Brumfield will be on Saturday, Feb. 8, beginning at 1 p.m. at Rhema Christian Center in Fairlea.
