Roanoke, VA-Dorothy Casiano, 89, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016.
Dorothy was born to the late Roy Ashby Simms and I.O. Simms on Mar. 8, 1927, in Richland, WV.
She was preceded in death by: her first husband, Leo Greenway, Sr. and her second husband, Felix Casiano; son, Leo Greenway, Jr.; daughter, Phyllis Goins; five brothers, Roy Simms and Larry Simms of Ronceverte, Howard Simms of Clintonville, Carl Simms of Ronceverte and Samuel Simms of Columbus, OH; and sister, Clara Hopkins of Cincinnati, OH.
Left to cherish her memory are: her three children, daughters, Mary Smith, Rosie and son, Leon all of Roanoke, VA; and her brother, Freddie Simms and wife Anna of Florida. She was loved by her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy was of the Baptist faith. She lived a good, full loving life surrounded by her family and friends.
Rev. David “Mickey” Derrow officiated in the services Friday, Mar. 25. Dorothy was laid to rest at Fair View Cemetery, Roanoke, VA.
Arrangements were by Oakey’s Chapel, Roanoke.
