Greenbrier Valley Medical Center and Fritz’s Pharmacy and Wellness Center are providing a support group for anyone interested in learning more about diabetes. The group helps educate about common issues for people with diabetes like food and nutrition, what your numbers mean, how to use a meter, signs and symptoms, foot care, movement, obstacles dealing with diabetes and behavior changes. The topic for November is Diabetes and Medicare.
The group will meet Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 5-6 p.m. in the Physicians’ Dining Room at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. A light meal will be provided. The Physicians’ Dining Room is behind the regular cafeteria through the door in the back. The support group is free to all and you may register ahead of time by calling Emilee Pack at 304-793-3545 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center or Stephanie Zimmerman at 304-645-1890 ext. 157 at Fritz’s Pharmacy.
