Denny Harrison Brown, 68, of Greenville, WV, formerly of Renick, passed away at Raleigh General Hospital, Sept. 23, 2025. Born Aug. 8, 1957, in Hillsboro, he was the first-born son of the late Clifford and Mary Elizabeth Poage Brown.  He was a retired logger having worked in the logging business with his dad and two brothers for most of his life. He spent the last few years working at Avaigen before full retirement in May of 2025.

Denny never met a stranger. He enjoyed fun and intellectual conversations. He enjoyed hunting not as a sport but as a source of food. He loved to fish. He was a man that was passionate about Jesus. He would speak of Jesus – love and sacrifice. He has led many to Christ. If anyone needed help or prayer, Denny would quickly do both.

Denny was a musician having played guitar at church and attended numerous events. Denny along with his parents and sisters-in-law formed the Hunter Brown Band that performed in many venues in West Virginia and surrounding states. He loved to study the bible and has countless notes in his bible. Denny also enjoyed traveling. He and his loving wife Jacqueline Wickline Brown would pack homemade snacks and go sightseeing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Denny Harrison Brown, Jr., great-grandson, Colton Sears, brother, Andy Brown, and Jacqueline’s grandmother with whom he was very close, Margaret Burns Wickline.

Including his wife, he is survived by his daughter, April Blankenship (Carl), grandsons, Jordan Sears (Tabby), Denver Sears, CJ Brown, granddaughter Brookelyn Sears, and great-granddaughter, Kinsley Sears, brother, Alford Brown, several nieces, nephews, Aunt Joan, his friends at Kingdom Life Ministries, friends and coworkers at Avaigen, and many other friends.

Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Sept. 29, at Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Heroes Sical officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Morgan Funeral Home to help with final expenses.

Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
