Denise Judy was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, when she went home to be with her Savior, Jesus. She was 59 years old. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and friends.
Denise was born Oct. 14, 1954, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Robert and Jane (Willrich) Carter. She was the ninth of ten children.
She married James Judy in 1977.
Denise had been employed for many years with Greenbrier County Schools as a sign language interpreter / aid. She had taught sign language to many. She was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, Williamsburg. She had been a member of the Williamsburg Rescue Squad for many years. She was also involved for many years with the Little League Organization, coaching T-Ball and 9-12 year old Little League, taking her team undefeated into and winning the Greenbrier County Championship. She loved golf, tennis, sewing and many crafts.
She is survived by her husband, James Judy, of 37 years: her sons, Michael Judy and Eric Judy, both of Williamsburg; two beautiful grandchildren, Michael’s daughter Mykah Judy and Eric’s son Sydney Judy.
A celebration of Life service was held at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church on Thursday, July 10, where friends came and shared stories of Denise’s life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church, Williamisburg; the Williamsburg Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.
