Second Creek-Delbert Waldo Morgan, 81, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Greenbrier Health Care Center in Lewisburg.
Born Dec. 8, 1939, at Ronceverte, he was a son of the late Edgar Lambert Morgan and the late Kathleen Burke Masters Morgan.
Delbert was a member of Zion’s Light Baptist Church, was a veteran with the National Guard, and was retired from Westlakin Corp.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Jane Haynes Morgan; son, Chris Morgan; brothers, Dayton Morgan and wife Sylvia and a stillborn infant brother.
He is survived by daughter, Cheryl Bowman and husband Tom of Organ Cave; son, Steve W. Morgan and wife Diana of Ronceverte; daughter-in-law, Sonja Morgan of Troutville, VA; grandchildren, Tech Sgt. Thad C. Bowman (Kassie), Tori Bowman, Charles H. Morgan and Tyler C. Bowman (Maddy); three great-grandchildren, Rylan, Weston and Reagan; three sisters, Charlotte Wong of Lewisburg, Carol Ramsey (Ernie) of Salem, VA and Linda Bennett (Manford) of Ronceverte.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, July 31, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte, where Pastor Gary Baker officiated. Burial followed in Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway.
Friends called at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to Greenbrier County Humane Society, 151 Holliday Lane, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Greenbrier Health Care Center for the care they provided to Mr. Morgan during his two year stay.
