The Greenbrier County Commission met briefly on Tuesday, June 27, and made decisions on the appointment of a representative to the board of the Attorney General’s West Virginia First Foundation, which will oversee the distribution of opioid settlement funds, the Operations and Maintenance Agreement for the execution of the GigReady Project in Greenbrier County, and the initial administrative phases of work to the County Health Department.
The county approved the appointment of Brit Ludwig, Counsel for the County, to sit on the board of directors for the West Virginia First Foundation, agreed to contract with Citinet and Associates for the Operations and Maintenance agreement, and approved Phase I Environmental study and the commencement of negotiations with an undisclosed landowner regarding the acquisition of their property.
The Greenbrier County Commission will meet again in roughly two weeks, at 10 a.m. in the Greenbrier County Commission offices, in the basement of the courthouse. The public is encouraged to attend. Interested parties should call 304-647-6689 ahead, as times, dates, and locations are subject to change.
